Creating a Promo Code

And welcome to another app hacks training module. We’re going to dive into the world of promo codes on our app platform. These aren’t just discounts, they’re powerful tools for customer engagement and strategic marketing. Let’s explore how you can leverage them to their fullest potential.

First let’s show you how to add a promo code. First we’re going to go into rewards. You’ll notice that there are two types of rewards. There’s a promotional reward, where somebody who’s already had downloaded the app, and then a sign up reward. A sign up reward will be an incentive for a new user to download the app.

In our example today, we’re going to highlight on a $10 off coupon that we’ve created as a promo code for Facebook followers. What we’ve done is we’ve entered the promotional title, added and added a short description. We can then select our start and stop date. You do need to add a stop date. We then saved it with the ‘welcomefb2’.

We go back to our Rewards. There we’ll find our reward with the promo code ‘welcomefb2’.

Next, we’re going to want to add this to a Facebook post. Our goal is to use these rewards and promo codes as promotional tools for converting or amplifying your Facebook page, and turning those into shoppers at the store.

So we’ve created a very simple message for recognizing Facebook followers. We’ve given them an incentive $10 off a purchase of $50 or more. They’re instructed to download the app through the link that you’ve gotten from your profile page, and to entr a promo code of ‘welcomefb2’.

If this would go to an existing user they’re going to scroll down to add this promo code. (For a new user, it’ll be the first tab they see when they’re registering the app), Once they have entered the promo code a popup will appear and we’ll see that we were issued that reward.

And finally, what we’re going to see is we’re going to see that reward on the faceplate of their app in the deals and rewards section.

When we return to the admin panel we see we have someone who’s claimed that reward. So now we’ve got a record of who redeemed that reward, when they redeemed and we can see that users complete history as far as that’s concerned: when they signed up last time they open the app and the rewards that they received.

The next thing we’re going to be able to do is we’re going to be able to create a specific push notification. I can send that to everyone, or anyone of our different member levels, or anyone who completed a poll result. But in this case, we see that we have it for the individual who responded to our Facebook message. We’re just going to compose our message hit preview and send so it’s really a simple, as that. We can also track our different redemptions to see how many people did it when they did it.

Promo codes are much more than just discounts. They are an essential element of a successful marketing strategy. By understanding and utilizing these codes creatively and strategically, we can transform how we connect with our customers and track our marketing success.
