2024 Trade Show Recap

It’s hard to believe our whirlwind tour of tradeshows has wrapped up, with the MANTS show in Baltimore and the TPIE in Fort Lauderdale leaving us buzzing with excitement and filled with gratitude. These events were more than just business gatherings; they were reunions of old friends and the starting point of many new friendships. The energy was palpable, and the sense of community stronger than ever.

One of the standout moments for us was the unveiling of our booth design, centered around the “Grow” campaign. We poured our hearts into creating a space that wasn’t just visually appealing but also conveyed a message close to our hearts. The theme “I Grow… because my garden is my happy place” struck a chord, particularly with our garden centers’ primary audience – women. It was heartwarming to see how this message resonated, prompting many to pause and engage with us. The style of our backdrop certainly caught the eye, but it was the underlying message that truly made an impact.

Our focus at these shows may have been on independent garden centers, but the appeal of our booth and campaign was far-reaching. Visitors from various sectors stopped by, drawn in by the warmth and invitation to share their own stories. Handing out “Why I Grow” takeaway cards sparked some of the most genuine and engaging conversations I’ve had in years. Asking people about their journey into the plant business or what plants mean to them opened up a floodgate of stories and shared experiences. It was a reminder of the personal connections that lie at the heart of our industry.

Another highlight was our return to the TPIE show after several years. The show was as vibrant and engaging as ever, showcasing the enduring appeal of houseplants and the innovative spirit of our industry. It was especially great to see garden centers from the northeast, midwest, and mid-Atlantic regions, all eager for new ideas and a taste of warmer weather. The quality and variety of material on display were a testament to the creativity and resilience of our community.

As we look ahead, the anticipation for Cultivate ’24 in July is already building. These shows are not just about business; they’re about growing together, sharing our stories, and supporting each other. They remind us why we do what we do and reaffirm our commitment to the green industry.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a story, or simply said hello. Your enthusiasm and support mean the world to us. We’re looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones at the next show. Until then, let’s keep the conversation going and continue to grow together. Hope to see you at Cultivate ’24!
